Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (35 hrs/week)
Salary: Pay Grade 11; $25.24 to $26.94 per hour
Replaces: G. Dhade
Under general guidelines established by the Chair, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of departmental equipment and for the maintenance of stock and inventory. Assists in laboratory classes.
Performs the duties of a Lab Technologist II – Electronics and in addition:
-Orders and receives all electronic equipment and supplies including price and supplier research, preparation of purchase requisitions and follow-up on all back orders;
-Maintains departmental files and records of capital and supply inventory and is responsible for maintaining stock at adequate levels;
-Oversees work scheduling to ensure that all lab requirements are met;
-Provides limited supervision of Laboratory Technologist II including work assignments, checking and instruction;
-Ensures security of all electronics labs and stores;
Performs other related duties similar in scope and complexity.
Technologist Diploma in electronics, with three years of relevant work experience. Basic computer programming knowledge an asset. Ability to work effectively with others.
