Job Summary: 

Latitude Geographics is currently seeking a leader and practitioner for our small marketing team. Reporting to the CEO, the Marketing & Communications Manager is directly accountable for developing an outstanding marketing strategy and being heavily involved in the day-to-day execution of that strategy.

This is a challenging, multifaceted role in which you’ll be called upon to be both a leader and a doer. It requires both big picture thinking and attention to detail.

We create (relatively) complex development technology and market it to an audience of varied technological sophistication (all the way from executives to programmers). We succeed when we simplify complex ideas as much as possible for non-technologists, without losing what’s essential. The successful candidate will need to be very technically-oriented and possess superb communication skills. Please note this role is less about lead generation and more about supporting the education of existing leads through the sales process.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing a thorough understanding of our technology and the value it provides.
  • Synthesizing your technical understanding and reflecting on possible positioning so you can lead the charge on figuring out what’s most important to existing and prospective customers.
  • Writing clear, concise prose that gets the message across. You’ll need to write it; you’ll need to be able to get it from others.
  • Running a team of 2-3 people (but we have big plans for the future). You’ll coach and manage, and you’ll work with specialists and managers from other teams to help move everything forward.
  • System/process development and implementation (ensuring content for sales people; PowerPoint, proposal text, supporting materials that are curated and updated over time).
  • Contributing as a member of Latitude’s leadership team.

  • Experience working as part of a leadership team is desirable.
  • Proven ability to spearhead and ensure successful ongoing implementation of systems and business processes to deliver marketing resources internally and to other organizations.
