The Victoria UNIT4 Development team carries out a wide variety of software development activities: the development of one major and several minor products within the Agresso product suite; the customization of the product suite for specific customers, at scales ranging from very small to enormous multi-year projects; and the adaptation of the standard product to US and Canadian requirements.

The QA Lead will be responsible for creating and maintaining project plans as defined by the product roadmap, ensuring the quality of product design, development and testing and be involved in test execution. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a solid background in software development and a desire to learn about software design. You will be comfortable working alone and as part of a team with minimal supervision, be customer-focused, have a can-do attitude, excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and work under pressure.

Job Responsibilities

  • Review solution design documents to help identify gaps and provide feedback.
  • Project coordination to ensure that development project plans are achieved.
  • Maintain traceability from requirements to release.
  • Provide status updates to the development manager.
  • Be a process champion and ensure compliance within the team.
  • Review and execute test cases.
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to support the Team goal of continuous improvement.
  • Participate in shared learning with other team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Skills Required

  • Attention to detail, reliability, creativity and curiosity are key qualities for this role.
  • Knowledge of QA/QC practices and methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills are required to be successful in providing feedback at all levels within the organization, assertiveness to stand up for quality and communicating with customers.
  • Experience using Agile and/or structured SDLC processes.
  • Experience in Windows environments.
  • Show persistence and look for alternatives when facing road blocks.
  • Have a commitment to meeting deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiar with business processes in a variety of sectors, in particular: Finance/accounting, Logistics, HR, Payroll, Travel or Project Management.
  • Experience with SQL and Oracle databases.
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation.
  • Experience in Project Management or familiar with PMP Methodologies.
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
