RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of EM Services to ensure that all project delivery requirements are either met or exceeded
  • Management of field, data, and manufacturing service area leads
  • Work with service area leads and Project Managers to ensure project/contract commitments are met and provide advice and direction as necessary
  • Provide clients support with respect to EM project processes, procedures and outputs
  • Manage the successful integration of multi-disciplined team functions
  • Ensure shared and consistent processes, documentation and resources are used within the division and with other divisions
  • Work with other business divisional managers with regards to staff sharing and cross training to ensure the EM coverage levels are maintained and to allow for the extension of work opportunities for EM staff
  • Assist with coordination of activities between divisional service areas and project managers
  • Work with the EM Project Accountant to design and implement quality controls and systems for division
  • Work with the EM Director and Project Accountant analyze workflow and assignments to ensure efficient/cost effective operations and develops/implements processes and improvements to meet such needs
  • Responsible for the oversight of recruitment, hiring and training of EM operational staff, and assisting with port staff requirements for the delivery of all EM projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree in business or related field
  • 5 - 7 years' operations experience of increasing responsibility
  • Leadership/management level experience, preferably in a team environment.  Suitable experience includes, but is not limited to the following;
  • Managing, leading or supervising a work unit
  • Responsible for operational performance
  • Responsible for achieving customer services standards
  • Ability to lead, direct and manage the results of a diverse, multifunctional work unit
  • Understand and demonstrate a competent level of knowledge of the project management process, service delivery and financial and administration functions of a division
  • A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including conflict resolution, and people management skills
  • High level of sound and independent judgment, reasoning, and discretion
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in both informal setting and formal presentations
  • Experience with coaching and guiding staff toward improved performance
  • Ability to inspire innovation and continuous service quality improvement
  • Understand and possess a competent level of knowledge of the fisheries industry (preferred)
  • Willing and able to travel domestic and internationally
  • Computer literate, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and e-mail required
