Job Summary: 

We are looking for a seasoned leader for the full-time Manager, Technical Services position in our Technology Services Department.

In this role, you are responsible for the management and delivery of IT technology services including planning, acquiring, deploying, maintaining and enhancing the core information technology infrastructure. As manager, you are responsible for the provision of technology services which support line of business applications, data backup, recovery, messaging and collaboration services. You have demonstrated your leadership experience within teams administering large enterprise class technical environments.

Your background includes technical experience with server system administration, or key layered products such as Active Directory, Citrix, VMWare, Anti Virus, Backups, Networks etc.You also have hands-on experience working with ITIL based Change, Problem and Incident Management.

Your management skills include departmental budget tracking and analysis skills and human resources activities such as recruitment and performance management. You have excellent presentation, interviewing, facilitating and negotiating skills. Acting as a liaison, you will work closely with HSSBC Technology Management supporting mutual infrastructure hosting opportunities and administration of the Kamloops Provincial Data Centre.


Along with your Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Computer Science you have 8 years’ recent experience in departmental management, project management, system analysis and design and the use of a formal systems delivery methodology. Considerable experience in supporting and managing a large IT infrastructure, including network, server and layered products is required. You will need a thorough knowledge of current and evolving business use information technology.
