Job Summary: 

As a member of the management team, the Corporate Controller will oversee all aspects of corporate accounting with specific responsibilities in the areas of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, internal controls, general ledger management, cash management and taxation. In addition, you will be managing continuous improvement of business and financial accounting processes and related controls and providing recommendations for procedural improvements.

Core Competencies:

The Corporate Controller oversees the day to day activities of the finance team and ensures the company’s finance function is organized and efficient and produces accurate financial and management accounts.

Duties include:

  • Management of the finance function and overseeing the finance team.
  • Preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows
  • Maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes
  • Preparation of Monthly Consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet
  • Timely production of statutory and internal financial reports
  • Financial modelling and analysis
  • Cash management and treasury duties
  • Ensuring that appropriate systems and internal controls are implemented and maintained
  • Overseeing the Payroll process
  • Preparation of Tax returns

Requirements of the role

  • Fully qualified CA/CMA/CGA (or equivalent) with previous financial control and management reporting experience
  • Able to demonstrate experience management of a small accounting team
  • Confident self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment
  • Able to demonstrate good attention to detail, good judgment showing logical decision making, and a hands on approach
  • Computer literate with in-depth knowledge of office productivity applications (Google Apps/Microsoft Office/Caseware/Netsuite/Simply Accounting/Zuora/Salesforce/OneNote/Jira) and solid understanding of accounting software principles
