The Role: In this start-up role you will have a broad set of responsibilities and directly contribute to the overall success of the company. You will own everything from Account Management, onboarding new Clients, updating our social media channels, creating Help & Newsletter content, and much more.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Proactive outbound communication with current and potential customers including the creation and ownership of a newsletter, an online forum for our customers, and by maintaining our social media channels.
  • Onboard new customers, and help them become proficient in using SilkStart.
  • Develop and implement Help tools for customers including but not limited to Help documentation, FAQ’s, ‘How-to’ tutorials, webinars, and more.
  • Handle inbound phone and email contacts. This is NOT a call center environment. We work closely with our clients in an Account Management capacity. You will investigate and resolve customer issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Continuously work to improve the overall customer experience.

Must Have’s:

  • Smart. You don’t need a degree but you do need to be smart. We’re going to expect you to quickly learn a lot of new stuff. We’re also going to give you autonomy on several important areas of our business and expect great work.
  • Good Attitude. You are willing to roll up your sleeves and do what needs to be done. This is not a ‘that’s not my job’ or ‘I don’t know how to do that’ environment.
  • Great Communicator. You’re a people person. You have a personality coupled with strong communication skills, both verbal and written. You need to like writing as you’re going to write a lot.
  • Customer Obsessed. You’re gifted at making customers feel important and truly want to help them.
  • Lots of Hustle. You like a fast paced, results oriented environment. You possess a strong desire to just get things done. You understand that persistence and hard work are essential ingredients to developing your career.
  • Self-Directed. We expect you to independently manage your time efficiently and effectively.
  • Technical Aptitude. You like new technology and use it in your personal life. You already understand the basics of SaaS, or are willing to learn quickly. Ideally you have some experience working with customers in a technical environment.
  • Proficient Computer Skills. You can type, find stuff online, become proficient in how our product works, learn new technologies and tools, plus whatever else we throw at you.

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience working with Associations and other member based groups.
  • Basic working knowledge of any of the following: HMTL, CSS, Javascript.
  • Experience with Support and Sales CRM’s (e.g. Base or Salesforce).
  • Experience with Excel, specifically working with various file formats (e.g. CSV), mapping and importing data.
