Job Summary: 

Solutions Sales Engineer
As a solutions sales engineer you will identify key opportunities and drive them through the sales funnel. You will forge strong relationships within the industry and work closely with clients to understand their needs and offer valuable solutions to solve their pain. You are a go-getter with a strong technical background and the ability to influence all levels of large and small organizations in order to generate revenue growth.

Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will:

• Work with clients to sell Quester Tangent train solutions (electronics & software)
• Manage/track your sales funnel to deliver on revenue growth targets
• Identify business opportunities + read/evaluate tenders and proposals
• Communicate with customers and other market players to clarify requirements
• Create and deliver bid packages with input from engineering and production teams

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 10+ years solutions selling experience, selling/influencing large organizations (Miller Heiman, SPIN Selling, Revenue Storm…) or equivalent
• Ability to create and execute a focused sales strategy to meet business plan objectives
• Ability to process large bid documents and work with internal Quester Tangent teams to propose technical solutions
• Excellent customer skills, communication and time management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Comfortable working in a team environment and with minimal supervision
• Ability to travel up to 2 weeks/month

Desirable Experience:

• Knowledge of rail transit electronic systems and transit industry (software & hardware)
• Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM experience
• Professional Engineering status an asset
