INTERMEDIATE BI DEVELOPER
You have an analytical mind, your passion is staying current in your area of expertise, and your goal is maintaining, developing and supporting the Cognos suite of Business Intelligence tools including Enterprise Planning. You will be responsible for continuous improvement, quality assurance, effective change management and project delivery excellence.
As an innovative trouble-shooter, you provide second and third tier Cognos application support. You diagnose complex application problems within Finance, Human Resources, Business and Maintenance Applications. You work with Business Analyst, Developers and Architects to understand business requirements and develop detailed design specifications. You assist in diagnosing and correcting problem related to infrastructure and databases, assist with IBM Cognos server software installation, upgrades and testing, as well as configure models of packaged applications. You ensure QA while maintaining the overall integrity of the data reported from the Cognos systems.
You have a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science (or an IT related discipline) or equivalent combination of experience, education and training. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a BI role including Cognos Report and Query Studio, Cube Design and development, as well as Framework Manager Modelling. Knowledge and hands-on experience with Data Warehousing (ETL), Enterprise Planning, Metrics, and ITIL Framework will be considered a strong asset.
