Job Summary: 

The I.T. Department at Shawnigan Lake School is currently seeking an experienced Information Technology (I.T.) Helpdesk Analyst.

Under the direction of the I.T. Manager, our I.T. Helpdesk Analyst provides direct technical support to our community, answering support queries by phone, email, and in person. A high level of customer service and a professional appearance is maintained at all times. Our I.T. Helpdesk Analyst has an organized, methodical, and detail-oriented work ethic to complement their strong communication, troubleshooting and time management skills.

Duties include:

  • diagnosis and resolution of hardware and software issues for students and staff
  • research of issues using team collaboration and other information resources
  • using a helpdesk system to communicate with staff and students, and log issues
  • identifying and escalating issues based on priority and other established guidelines
  • demonstration and training of staff and students in the use of technology
  • minor hardware repair of desktops and laptops

Successful candidates will possess an I.T. diploma, degree or relevant training, and a minimum of 3 years of related work experience supporting:

  • Windows operating systems
  • MacOS and iOS operating systems
  • mobile device management for Andriod, iOS and others
  • MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite applications
  • Wireless network configuration for Windows, Mac, iOS, Android clients
  • Xerox printers, MFPs and copiers
