Job Summary: 

Embedded Software Developer

We are seeking embedded software developers to join our rail transit team. You will work with a team of professional engineers developing high-quality products in a mature environment. You will work with state-of-the art electronic systems and design methodology, and work according to industry standards.

Compensation will be awarded based on your level of skill, training and experience. The position involves a wide array of embedded software development tasks including:

  • Building high quality software solutions for embedded platforms.
  • Implementation of requirements and delivery of features
  • Working with hardware teams to design and develop driver-level code for high-quality state-of-the-art electronic products.
  • Preparing design and test documentation to IEEE Software standards and implementing tests.
  • Interacting with customers, in-field integration and/or training.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Development experience coding in C.
  • Understanding of detailed interactions of embedded software with hardware.
  • Ability to create innovative and maintainable solutions.
  • Pride in good workmanship with attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a team environment and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel.

Desirable Experience:

  • Microcontroller system architecture and embedded RTOS
  • C and C++ development and debug experience using Visual Studio.
  • Version control and build server using Perforce or other.
  • Experience developing board support packages for Linux devices.
  • Knowledge and or experience with Ethernet and Ethernet Adapter devices.
  • Experience with lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, etc.
