Job Summary: 

We require an energetic, motivated and career-minded Software Systems Developer to act as the technical implementation specialist for multi-department projects creating solutions that meet business needs. You will be responsible for designing and publishing fully functioning, debugged reporting services and web applications which meet executive and department goals. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, code, and test features in collaboration with other members of the IT and BI team to deliver complex financial and operational reports using SQL stored procedures and views, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Crystal Reports
  • Configuration and customization of a database driven ERP
  • Support data mining and migration using SQL and Microsoft Excel
  • Build and maintain a GIS (Geographic Information System) including utilizing both server, desktop and web applications to provide Spatial Analysis and Reporting 
  • Define requirements, design, and implement PHP/MySQL/Javascript web applications for our company intranet
  • Debug and fix reported defects and maintain and modify existing reports and web applications
  • Participate in the design and implementation of databases
  • Ensure the functionality, performance, scalability, reliability and realistic implementation schedule for each assignment


You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Diploma of Technology or equivalent job experience as well as a minimum or 1 year experience as a Database Developer working with a variety of database products and a solid working knowledge of data structure design and implementation.

You will have a minimum or 2 years experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and testing of scalable, distributed reporting and web applications in Microsoft NT and online environments.

Ideally you have related work experience in finance and logistical operations. A high level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts and the ability to learn new environments quickly will ensure your success in this role.
