Job Summary: 

The Service Asset & Configuration Administrator ensures costs and risks to the Pension Corporation are optimized and contribute to improving overall IT service performance by providing accurate and up-to-date asset and configuration information to enable people to make decisions at the right time.

It focuses on the asset administration activities for workstations, laptops, and related software which run on these devices and the liaison for asset administration activities for servers, network equipment and related software managed by HP Advanced Solutions. Up to date knowledge is required on IT trends for researching the appropriate purchasing of hardware/software assets, life-cycling, maintenance agreements and associated support contracts. In doing so, this position ensures the integrity of the assets and configurations required to control the services and IT infrastructure that enable the business of the Pension Corporation.

This position is under the leadership and guidance of the Vendor Services Manager. Assignments will include full lifecycle management of IT and service assets, from the point of acquisition through to disposal and maintenance of the asset inventory.  This position is also accountable to the Service Asset and Configuration Management Process Owner for tasks related to configuration items (relationship between the assets and services).

How To Apply: 

Our ideal candidate brings:

  • A college diploma in Computer Science and 3 years of related experience OR a certificate in Computer Science or related discipline and 4 years of related experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and 5 years of related experience.
  • 1-3 years of IT experience in an enterprise/cross-platform environment;
  • 1-3 years of experience with a formalized asset management system;
  • Experience gathering data, compiling information and preparing statistical and trend analysis reports;
  • Familiar with other IT Service Management processes such as Incident, Change and Problem management;
  • Minimum of ITIL Foundations V2 certification preferred.
