If your answer to all of these questions is "yes," we want to hear from you.
You are responsible for firmware design on deep-sea oceanographic instrumentation. Your involvement goes beyond just firmware. As part of a team of dedicated engineers, including other firmware engineers, you work closely with colleagues and contractors in the electronics, software, mechanical, and sensor design fields to ensure that the entire deliverable meets marketing, technical, costing, and timing specifications.
You are expected to learn and understand the target market’s applications and requirements. You are expected to project manage your designs to launch date expectations. You must support your designs; the Firmware Engineer is the ‘go-to-guy' for AML’s manufacturing team on all issues related to firmware. In that vein, you enjoy fixing problems and educating others.
