Job Summary: 

We currently have a one year full time maternity leave position for a Senior Accounting Administrator starting September 1, 2014 or earlier.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries for month-end and year-end for various corporate entities for Canada, USA, Australia, Singapore & China
  • Reconcile different bank accounts and their respective currencies
  • Identify daily activity in bank accounts
  • Prepare and reconcile US, Singapore and Australia payroll (including benefits)
  • Assist in preparing quarterly Business Activities Statements for Australia sales office
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close processes
  • Prepare yearly budgets for two corporate entities
  • Track and maintain Fixed Asset and associated depreciation schedule
  • Work closely with VP of Finance and Administration for special projects
  • Assist with the preparation of other reports provided to management

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collection of accounts receivable
  • Provide guidance and training to other accounting staff.
  • Prepare accounts payable cheques for approval and signature
  • Prepare bank deposits as required
  • Enter accounts payables as required
  • Liaison with corporate accounting firm during year end preparation


  • Senior year in CPA programs, or equivalent experience.
  • Five to seven years’ experience in accounting is required
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Microsoft Great Plains business software, capability to design and update reports
  • Proficient with Excel spreadsheets and general knowledge of MS Word
