Job Summary: 

Minimum of an undergraduate degree or recognized technical diploma in Computer Science or related field, along with demonstrable experience in several of the following areas: 

  • Demonstrated success as a project manager (preferably in the last 3 years) leading and implementing a large, complex IM/IT project; Demonstrated track record of completing complex systems projects on schedule and within budget while meeting business and quality objectives;
  • Demonstrated experience developing terms of reference for a major IM/IT project, including project charter, project plan, scope, cost and resource requirements;
  • Demonstrated experience working with the standard project management methodology, incorporating methods similar to those endorsed by the Project Management Institute;
  • Demonstrated experience interacting with clients and stakeholders through facilitating and supporting workshops.
  • Demonstrated skills in consensus building and communicating effectively; 
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing a communications plan, including progress reports for the project sponsors and stakeholders and distribution of information in a timely manner;
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and monitoring quality assurance metrics and controls to ensure the project will satisfy the needs for which it was undertaken.
  • Demonstrated experience with managing a major project budget, including establishing a cost base line and regular reporting on actual vs. budget forecasts;
  • Experience reporting to executive staff or senior management within an organization, managing effective working relationships with managers up to and including executive level;
  • The ability to support the success of the project as a whole; the ability to work both independently and collaboratively; and

Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills including the ability to produce high quality deliverables to Industry standards. Applicants must have a minimum of 4 years industry experience.
