Term: Full-time, permanent

Salary Range: $53,372.58 - $60,887.32 (This position will receive a temporary market adjustment of 6.6% in addition to base pay.)

Consumer Protection BC is looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our team!

What you will be doing:

  • Providing infrastructure technology solutions across multiple platforms, program areas and a variety of systems environments, including configuration, installation and providing 2nd and 3rd tier problem resolutions
  • Contributing to the technical evaluation of new or upgraded systems and procedures and participating on information technology project teams
  • Identifying, defining and analyzing recurring issues, potential problems and opportunities for business improvements, and bringing forward suggested solutions
  • Configuring, installing and maintaining shared systems software, hardware, applications and/or servers

We are looking for people who have:

  • A degree, diploma, certification or equivalent experience in the computer science field
  • Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting, testing and implementing software, as well as experience in investing and implementing complex IT integration challenges
  • Experience providing customer support services in an information technology environment or helping end users to use and understand computer hardware and software
