BC Assessment is looking for 2 Business Analysts to join its dynamic and progressive Information Technology Services (ITS) in Victoria.
The Business Analyst is a professional position that provides Information Management and Information Technology (IMIT) planning, business analysis, solution design, implementation support and client support services for BC Assessment program areas. Facilitates the design, development and implementation process for technology solutions and new information products and coordinates the implementation, quality assurance and testing of systems.
The Business Analyst will use innovation and judgment to translate business needs into effective and responsive systems and provides related advice and support to senior management. This position may provide guidance to assigned staff in the delivery of products and services to BCA customers.
In first year of employment at BCA, these people can expect to:
These roles require a University degree in computer science, systems business analysis, information management, software engineering, or equivalent. However, a University degree in business administration or finance (plus related IM/IT courses) will be considered. We are also seeking someone who has enrolled in the BA certificate in Business Analysis (or equivalent certificate) plus it would be a great asset if you have completed a PM certificate or are a certified Project Management Professional.
You will have a minimum two years experience in leading projects, conducting business analysis, developing business cases and identifying and documenting client and user needs in a public sector environment.
• Property assessment/appraisal, facilitating to groups of people, developing test strategies and test designs, and applying adult learning methodologies and developing training/educational materials.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• These positions are included in the Bargaining Unit.
