Job Summary: 

Procura is looking for high performing, driven and passionate Software Build Engineer that will contribute as a member of our small fast-paced core technology team that drives technical innovation across our global products and development teams. This senior technical role will work closely with the Chief Software Architect, onshore and offshore development to lead, develop and promote technical innovation.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Software Architect, you will work closely with onshore and offshore development teams, as a key subject matter expert around build automation and continuous integration. You will be responsible for:

  • Designing, implementing and administer source control systems for all products
  • Designing, implementing and support build platforms for all products (web, mobile and client server)
  • Developing and supporting installers for all products with assistance of product specific developers
  • Providing technical leadership and assisting product specific developers with build automation and continuous integration
  • Automate processes and improve the entire build and release process

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of a range of build automation practices and methods with a good understanding of the relevance of each when considering various types of technical change programme
  • Very strong communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to relay complex technical issues to a non-technical audience in an engaging and informative manner
  • The ability to understand and improve technical specifications written by others, including high complexity specifications.
  • 5+ years of experience in build automation using various tools, including knowledge of C#, Visual Studio 2012, IIS, Apache Tomcat, MSBuild, Ant, RAD Studio XE3, FinalBuilder, Android SDK, Blackberry 10 SDK, Adobe Flex SDK, Eclipse, and XCode.
  • Deep knowledge of more than one scripting languages (ie. Perl, Ruby, and/or Python)
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and relational database concepts
  • Deep knowledge of source code management systems such as Perforce, SVN, and/or Fortress.
  • Deep knowledge of continuous integration systems
  • Knowledge of installation tools such as Installshield
  • If relocation is required, you are legally entitled to work in Victoria, BC, Canada. A copy of a valid work permit may be required
