Job Summary: 



As an integral member of the results-driven Information Technology team, the Intermediate Business Analyst has the overall responsibility for ensuring that a portfolio of applications continues to meet business needs. This includes analyzing business and user needs; documenting requirements, and translation into effective system requirement specifications. You assist in defining systems scope and objectives, as well as support the design, development and delivery of successful solutions; on time, within budget, and according to specifications. You follow accepted BA methodologies and provide superior internal consulting services to IT business customers and employees.

You are a collaborative team player with the ability to establish and maintain positive, cooperative working relationships amongst a diverse group of IT team members. You are analytical and detail-oriented with a high level of self-motivation and initiative, and are able to effectively multi-task while working under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

You bring a minimum of 3 years experience working in an IT business analysis role with a good working knowledge of business processing models and data modeling practises. You have thorough knowledge with QA and testing practises and have strong problem solving capabilities. You have a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Business or other IT related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience with an Asset Management system such as Inventory or Purchasing would be an asset. ITIL and BABOK certification would also be considered an asset.
