Once the PMO is established the Manager, PMO will have the responsibility to:
This temporary, full-time appointment is subject to Administrative Job Evaluation and will be made effective as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field from an appropriately accredited institution; experience including:
- 10+ years of experience progressively advancing experience in IT project management roles;
- 5+ years of experience in management roles;
- 3+ years hands-on design and planning experience addressing large scale integration challenges; and
- 2+ years managing a project portfolio and managing and developing project managers
Further, the Manager, PMO will have an understanding of the unique business drivers including problems, opportunities and constraints associated with systems and processes supporting the delivery of higher education and have an ability to train, motivate, and inspire teams.
A Project Management Professional (PMP), credential from the Project Management Institute or equivalent qualification in project management is required, along with advanced knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management; a proficiency in project management software; and the ability to transition effortlessly from planning to hands-on execution as situations demand.
Proven experience in: people management, strategic planning, risk management, change management.
