Job Summary: 


The Information Technology Department is responsible for developing technology solutions that contribute to the achievement of bcIMC’s mission and long-term goals.The department manages the Corporation’s business applications and information technology infrastructure, providing support to approximately 200 financial professionals.The department is also responsible for authoring IT-related policy and conducting business continuation planning to minimize risk to the Corporation’s delivery of investment services.

The Business Analyst researches business requirements across the Corporation and manages the design and implementation of IT solutions.  The Business Analyst consults with staff at all levels and in all departments of the Corporation and works closely with other IT professionals and external suppliers to deliver results.  The Business Analyst reports to the Manager of Application Systems, but most often participates in or leads project teams.


Preferred qualifications include post-secondary education in computer science or a related discipline and at least five years experience as an Information Technology professional. Training and experience in business area analysis, process modeling, data modeling, and project management is required.  Current or planned enrolment in the Canadian Securities Course and experience with complex financial systems is also preferred.  An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
