Job Summary: 

The primary role of the Network Support Technician is to provide technical support to internal users, including troubleshooting and resolving workstation issues. The Network Support Technician works with the Systems Administrator in all aspects relating to the planning, maintenance and support of the college’s IT infrastructure and peripheral equipment and services.


  • Strong knowledge of Windows 7/8 and Mac OSX operating systems.
  • Intimate knowledge of PC hardware and peripherals.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Server.
  • Working knowledge of IP Based networks, networking terminology, topologies, and networking hardware.
  • Process-oriented.
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic.
  • Able to effectively manage tasks in a fixed time frame.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team.
