Job Summary: 

BC Assessment is now searching for 2 dynamic people who are passionate about technology and customer service to join its team as Technical Support Analysts.

In this important role, your primary task will be to provide technical support and troubleshooting for frontline calls to our Contact Centre. Other tasks will cover configuration, installation, maintenance and utilization of shared systems software, hardware, network, and storage platforms for BC Assessment business applications and servers. You will provide Tier 1 & 2 problem resolution for BC Assessment users, customers and vendors.

You will also be responsible for operating and controlling installed information systems, and for submitting and verifying all production batch work for internal and external clients. You will also assist in the maintenance and day-to-day operation of the security and data backup system.

It will be important for you to work successfully in a collaborative team environment, and to organize and set your own priorities.

Finally, you will employ a high level of listening and communication skills when dealing with clients over the phone, via email, and in person.

In the first year, you can look forward to:

  • Providing software and hardware support for 650 internal staff
  • Completing assigned tasks within operational projects
  • Becoming cross-trained in BC Assessment managed technology to allow for redundancy and growth
  • Helping implement the new Incident and Problem management process

Job Requirements

A Diploma, Certificate or equivalent in the Computer Science field and 1 year of related experience in a client focused work environment.

Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
