Job Summary: 

We are seeking a dynamic, personable, and proven Business Development Manager to work in our fast-paced sales and customer service group.

Success in this role will come as you aggressively expand the FillZ customer base and reach revenue goals through developing new business. At the heart of your responsibilities will be identifying, qualifying, closing, and onboarding new customers.

This position requires a self-driven and flexible work style, willingness for occasional travel, and a high comfort level working in an e-commerce SaaS (Software as a Service) environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Consistently identify and qualify customers in the target markets FillZ serves, building and maintaining an effective sales pipeline that manages a healthy balance between inbound leads and outbound sales activities
  • Close new accounts by completing sales activities that include, but are not limited to: product demonstrations, remote and in-person business & technical discoveries, price & feature negotiations
  • Continually develop and incorporate customer, market, product and competitive knowledge into the sales process
  • Support the decision making process of customers by demonstrating ROI attainment when FillZ is implemented and by putting processes in place that allow customers to experience the value FillZ provides quickly
  • Work with FillZ account management and engineering teams to facilitate solution-oriented sales opportunities
  • Liaise with the wider FillZ team as well as marketing, legal and finance early in the sales processes to successfully transition won managed accounts to account management representatives
  • Create, maintain and evolve customer-facing collateral, templates, presentations and onboarding documentation for unmanaged and managed accounts, collaborating with the marketing team as required
  • Build relationships within Amazon as well as third party organizations in our industry that build mutual trust and enable or establish sales channels
  • Contribute to the optimization, operationalization and automation of sales processes so that target customers are served in the best possible way
  • Contribute to the creation, maintenance and evolution of internal sales & business development processes that aid in: accurately forecasting sales metrics, identifying market opportunities/threats, and successfully onboarding new customers

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • 4+ years of successful sales experience, preferably in eCommerce or SaaS industries.
  • Demonstrated success in exceeding sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to identify and own specific verticals and to find, contact and acquire high-valued customers in each.
  • Ability to handle inbound calls and emails, turning them into new customers.
  • Proven track record of effective written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
  • Ability to provide our clients the highest level of sales and on-boarding customer service.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Proficient computer skills including strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

The following would be beneficial:

  • Experience working with Salesforce to track and maintain prospect information and sales progress.
  • Ability to generate inbound leads through a variety of marketing methods.
