Job Summary: 

Summary
Reporting to the Director, Customer Services, the Application Support Specialist will provide support to end users on the Procura application’s core elements. The successful candidate will be working from Procura’s office located in Victoria, BC. This position works closely with all members of the support staff as well as the Professional Services and Development teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, replicate and resolve application problems.
  • Respond to telephone calls, email requests and cases logged on-line.
  • Track, document and monitor issues to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Monitor status of Procura hosted applications and other products.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external technical documentation.
  • Provide expert and creative solutions to internal and external users.
  • Assist Account Management, Development, and Product Architecture groups in assessing client
  • requirements to suit business needs.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities
To succeed in this position, you will be a quick learner and an analytical thinker. You are very patient and have excellent interpersonal skills. You may have a background in home care or health care information systems such as the Procura Health Management System.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to individuals who possess the following:

  • Previous Support Desk Experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
  • Familiarity with the use of client operating systems (XP, Vista, 7, 8) and server operating systems
  • (2003, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012)
  • Working knowledge of the Procura Health Management System
  • Development experience (Delphi, .NET, C#, SharePoint, Drupal, etc)
