Job Summary: 

Procura is looking for an enthusiastic and driven QA Analyst to join our Procura Development team. This junior role will work closely with Developers, Business Analysts and Technical Writers of the Procura Development team to ensure our product is meeting end user expectations. An ideal candidate will possess strong problem solving skills, enjoy detailed work, and be able to organize complex projects into smaller more manageable task.

Responsibilities

  • Performing basic to intermediate-level software testing tasks including writing and execution of test plans on applications
  • Reviewing product requirements, software specifications, test plans and user documentation while making recommendations for improvement
  • Creating and maintaining test cases, test programs, data and automation test programs
  • Assuring that developed products meet requirements and are within quality standards
  • Reporting on problems encountered and documenting test results for follow-up using defect tracking software
  • Assisting Help Desk with support and replication of issues

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years software testing experience
  • Degree or diploma in computer systems from a university or technical school or equivalent related experience (Help Desk, Sales Support, Software Development)
  • Knowledge of SDLC fundamentals
  • Knowledge of Automated Testing Software
  • Experience with SQL database applications (MS SQL Server) including ability to use simple queries
  • Great attention to detail and ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
  • You are legally entitled to work in Victoria, BC, Canada. A copy of a valid work permit may be required
