Job Summary: 


Based in Victoria, B.C. we are an established multi-unit retail, digital and commercial business. We are seeking a customer focused, results-oriented individual to lead us in sourcing, vendor relations and in managing our assortment.   The successful candidate uses strong business judgment and has a proven track record in driving profitable growth.

Responsible for:

  • Negotiating and managing our relationship with new and existing vendors to achieve optimal value
  • Researching and sourcing exciting product opportunities
  • Proficiency with contracts
  • Effective assortment management
  • Calibrating our buying software to ensure the right amount of stock inventory and achieve high fill rates
  • Leverage our  inventory investment
  • Managing the relationship with our buying group(s)
  • Leading a small team that performs buying, database management and expediting functions
  • Positively impacting inventory and sales productivity through the retail, commercial and digital channels

Must possess:

  • A passion for the customer
  • SCMP accreditation or equivalent
  • An eye for innovative and appealing products and services
  • Experience and success in retail, digital and commercial supply management
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • A keen interest in consumer and technology trends
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (eg. Excel) and purchasing software
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
