Job Summary: 

The Role

MediaCore is looking for a Solution Engineer (SE) who will be responsible for all technical and implementation oriented aspects of the MediaCore sales cycle.  SE’s must be both sales focused and technically savvy. The SE will work, in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, and Product Managers, to be the technical bridge between our Sales Representatives and their prospects. The SE will take ownership customer satisfaction by proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers onsite, online, and via telephone.


  • Engage with the customer as the technical lead throughout the sales and setup process
  • Engage with newly signed education customers as a MediaCore product expert to implement our product; implementation activities include setup, integration with existing systems, troubleshooting, customization, API testing, and documentation
  • Work with customers to help them identify, given their requirements and their internal technical capabilities, how to best make use of the MediaCore platform, plugins, and integrations
  • Work with the Sales team to write responses for technical RFPs


  • Exemplary verbal, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Desire to build strong customer relationships
  • Experience scoping, managing and executing customer pilots and proof of concepts
  • Some programming experience
  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent years of work experience
  • Firm grasp of computer networking concepts
  • Familiarity with the development and technological underpinnings of modern web applications and SaaS applications

Nice to haves

  • Previous consulting experience implementing enterprise class software solutions.
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience mapping RFI/RFP requirements to software solutions
  • Previous experience in selling to Enterprise and Mid Market executives, and convincing C-level and director level executives of the technical merits of the software solution
