Job Summary: 

Recent developments have spawned significant company expansion and AXYS has a need for an International Sales Representative. The International Sales Representative is a new position focused on Europe and the Middle East that reflects AXYS’ growing business in the marine data sector in these regions. We are looking for an experienced sales person capable of working independently to establish the AXYS brand as the market’s provider of choice for offshore data solutions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Generate sales from new prospects
  • Work with existing customers to develop new sales opportunities
  • Develop and manage positive, long term customer and account relationships
  • Grow the AXYS brand throughout Europe and the Middle East


To be considered for this position your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have the following:

  • Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in oceanographic or sensor sales
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Track record for converting leads and prospects into sales
  • Existing network of contacts and relationships in the marine/offshore environmental monitoring sector
  • Resident in either Europe or Canada with the capacity for significant international travel
  • Comfortable and able to thrive in a demanding role, where priorities change continually and deadlines are critical
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Experienced and comfortable with public speaking and delivering effective presentations
  • Strong writing skills for communication and proposals
  • Proficient in the use of CRM, MS Office, and presentation tools including GoTo Meeting, MS PowerPoint and Prezi

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Multiple languages
  • University degree in marine/oceanography, business, commerce, or related program
  • Experience of working in an ISO9001-2000 environment
