Job Summary: 

Through growth, CityView is seeking an Account Manager/Sales Rep to join our team. This exciting opportunity will allow you to travel in a designated territory, learn new technology and work with a reputable company backed by a knowledgeable team.

The incumbent will identify the needs of the customer, demonstrate the benefits of the software and present the CityView solution portfolio to local government enterprises, growing the customer base in their territory (to be defined) as well as enhancing relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate is an inquisitive, self-starter who is interested in finding the best solution to fit the needs of our customers.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute regional territory sales and marketing plan.
  • Proactively market and sell the CityView suite of solutions and services
  • Present in-depth software demonstrations (typically 90 min to 2 days in duration)
  • Coordinate contract negotiations
  • Plan and execute targeted prospecting activities and events to drive leads.
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of RFP responses for the territory
  • Record client info and progress in the sales CRM.
  • Forecast bookings and expenses realistically.
  • Maintain a sales pipeline to ensure sales targets are consistently and sustainably met.
  • Participate actively in national and regional conferences and user group meetings.
  • Conduct business with exceptional standard of ethics.
  • Build relationship with peers and customers.
  • Follow up with the customer after the sale to ensure customer satisfaction.

EDUCATION/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Qualified candidates possess:

  • Aptitude to pick up new technologies
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Persistence, patience and a get-results orientation

Preference given for:

  • Understanding of business process management technology
  • Knowledge of the business activities and challenges felt by local government employees
  • Polished writing and presentation skills
  • Customer service skills and standards
  • Planning skills aimed at growing, maintaining and executing on a solid sales pipeline
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and consistently meet assigned deadlines
  • Adaptability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team
  • Aptitude to learn new skills and willingness to become an expert in the domain

Previous software sales experience in markets with long sales cycles, preferably local government or state, is a plus.
