Job Summary: 

GenoLogics is looking for a self-motivated individual to help provide IT and Operational support for our entire organization. This person will help maintain internal and cloud based IT resources; maintain and evolve our backup strategy; provision end user workstations, operating systems and applications to company standards; and assist in managing data storage. In addition, the IT/Ops Analyst will assist in automation of our hosted products.  

This position will appeal to someone who would like to apply their experience to evolve and develop our tools and processes. It requires a generalist IT background with an interest in cloud technologies and strong automation skills. A successful track record in a similar position is required and a strong customer service orientation.


  • Provide support for server, desktop, and laptop computers throughout the organization
  • Help manage our internal and external IT services
  • Contribute to the development of corporate IT standards
  • Provide Dev/Ops Manager with status reporting, highlighting areas of potential risk
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot to resolve end-users’ hardware, software and connectivity problems
  • Maintain an asset inventory management system, planning ahead for asset replacement and retirement
  • Provide support for our remote users located around the globe
  • Develop FAQ sheets and deliver employee IT orientation and training sessions
  • Identify and patch system resources for security 


  • Applied administrative experience with Windows, OS X and Linux
  • Network configuration and debugging (TCP/IP, Firewalls, VPN, DNS, WiFi, etc)
  • Knowledge of basic scripting languages (Bash, Perl, Groovy, Python, etc)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline required
  • Experience managing and integrating cloud-based services (SalesForce, Google Apps, Amazon EC2, etc.)
  • Experience with Virtualization (XenServer, VMWare, VirtualBox)
  • Cisco Switch & VoIP knowledge and experience desirable
  • Knowledge of SQL and database concepts a plus
