As a key member of an innovative Information Technology team, you administer Oracle and Sybase databases and Oracle Middleware. You develop, document, and maintain relevant standards, and are responsible for installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, tuning, and monitoring. You ensure database designs meet the requirements of the application and are proactive in detecting and preventing technical problems.
You have 6 years’ experience working on a variety of assignments in a technical analytic role within a systems development organization. This includes a minimum of six years of Oracle database administration (10g onwards), backup and recovery using RMAN, Enterprise Manager, RAC and ASM, Performance Tuning and Capacity Planning. In addition, you have 3 years of Oracle Fusion Middleware. You have experience with Oracle Cloud Control 12c and other Enterprise Management tools. You have a good working knowledge of Unix (Solaris/Linux) Administration and Unix shell scripting as well Oracle Application Server combined with WebLogic Application Server (11g). Preference given to applicants with experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, Configuration Management, Oracle Applications Administration, installation, upgrades and maintenance. Experience withSybase ASE is an asset.
You have a Degree or Diploma in computer science or another IT related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with experience with OCP certification.
