Job Summary: 

We are experiencing some exciting growth and are expanding our Victoria Land Mobile Radio operation. Currently we are searching for a seasoned Human Resources Manager to join our team. 

Key responsibilities of the Human Resources (HR) Manager will be to develop and implement operational HR strategies, principles and processes in line with our Radio Communications HR strategies; to support our management team in ensuring HR strategies are implemented (taking into account legal, LR and safety compliance); and participating as a member of the regional management team to help achieve HR business objectives.

If you are an experienced HR professional, ideally with private sector experience, who enjoys utilizing your well-rounded HR skills and who excels at working with employees locally in Victoria as well as those located through the USA, then we would like to hear from you.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Management, related field, or equivalent (and preferred CHRP designation)
  • Significant recent, related experience and success in a similar HR advisory role
  • Related experience with end-to-end recruitment practices
  • Preferred experience in private sector, and ideally in BC/Western Canada
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant employment legislation and regulations
  • Solid computer skills in MS Office and other relevant software applications
  • Excellent report writing ability and effective presentation skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong intuition, initiative and excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and remain resilient
  • Ability to work in a team with remote reporting structure across time zones
  • Strong self-reliance and creative problem-solving skills
  • Practical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time to serve North American operations
