BC Assessment is now searching for enthusiastic individuals to join its progressive Information & Technology Services (ITS) team as Business Support Analysts.

There are 2 positions, one in each of the following Teams:

As the successful candidate to this competition in Information Services, you can look forward to:

  • Answering inquiries and providing support to customers on various products and services, including Assessment LinkBC, Data Advice, ePost, and e-valueBC
  • Organizing, delivering and supporting the annual deliverables to property owners, local governments and clients.
  • Facilitating the requests for information and managing the delivery of custom reports.
  • Working with internal and external customer groups as a resource for various projects and initiatives
  • Reviewing current procedures and providing recommendations for process improvements

As the successful candidate to this competition in Business Solutions, you can look forward to:

  • Performing analysis, design, and solution verification as a member of one or more project teams
  • Supporting senior staff to address complex and/or emerging issues
  • Participating and contributing to the Business Analysis Community of Practice
  • Supporting the effective management of project deliverables and code libraries using Team Foundation Server (TFS)

Education:

  • University degree in computer science, systems business analysis, information management, and software engineering, or equivalent. University degree in business administration or finance (plus related IM/IT courses) will be considered.

Experience

  • Some experience as a business analyst in a small to large organization.
  • Some experience in conducting business analysis, developing business cases and flow diagrams, and identifying and documenting client and user needs.
  • Experience in an appraisal organization or Taxing Authority would be an asset.
  • Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Comments:

  • Entry level to Business Analysis series
  • As experience increases and training occurs the position will work more independently and receive assignments involving added complexity.
