Job Summary: 

The Production Team requires a Supply Chain Clerk to support with purchasing, inventory and logistic tasks.  The ideal candidate will perform purchasing transactions, maintain inventory of materials as well as package and ship our products to local and international destinations.  This position is well suited to someone who is highly motivated and has the drive and enthusiasm while maintaining a high performance in a dynamic environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Source price quotations and prepare purchase orders
  • Expedite and follow up with suppliers to schedule deliveries, resolve material, value discrepancy, outstanding and overdue delivery of orders, warranty claims and damage, and return of materials
  • Maintain a strong and professional relationship with suppliers
  • Receive, inspect & store new and returning material
  • Match purchase orders with invoices and forward to accounts for payment processing
  • Monitor inventory levels and reconcile physical inventories
  • Kit and prepare work orders to fulfill manufacturing and services demand
  • Pack, ship and maintain records of all outgoing shipment transactions

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education and training, preferable in the electronics industry
  • Experience processing purchase requisitions, expediting, following up on back orders
  • Knowledge of best inventory concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Experience with international shipments, best packing and material handling practices, customs regulations knowledge, etc.
  • Experience using with MRP systems
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Highly motivated and positive attitude is essential to working in this role
  • Ability to maintain a high level of performance in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, dependable, flexible and adaptable.
  • Willingness to be able to work to time sensitive deadlines is essential
  • Experience using fixed and hand shop tools
  • Drivers license

Additional Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • APICS certification or an equivalent post-secondary degree would be preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues
  • Excellent time management, organizational
  • WHMIS, Forklift and Crane training are an asset
  • Experience in an ISO9001 environment is an asset
