Job Summary: 

The Enterprise Application Architect provides leadership and direction in the overall development, maintenance, usage and stewardship of the enterprise architecture related to a specified discipline through traceable transformations of artifacts that reflect enterprise or program/project-level business requirements. The Enterprise Application Architect will develop strategies, policies, processes and procedures to institute domain specific architecture principles and standards, and includes: implementing best practices devising ways to effectively apply the respective discipline expertise to meet the corporate objectives.

Our ideal candidate will bring:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent, and 4 years of experience as an application architect OR an equivalent combination of education, training & experience.

The candidate must have recent practical experience that includes:

  • experience leading, implementing, maintaining and enhancing large, complex and enterprise-wide application architectures, including the development of various application architecture artifacts;
  • experience in maintaining, monitoring and enforcing functional and application architecture standards and guidelines;
  • experience working with large complex application models, metadata management principals and practices;
  • experience with Oracle suite, Java environment and web standards and conventions;
  • experience with large enterprise applications utilizing multiple tiers, complex databases and significant batch processes;
  • experience in the SDLC management of both functional and technical information assets;
  • experience with transformation of business requirements into practical solutions which have a high degree of operability;
  • experience assessing application quality and implementing corrective measures;
  • experience with application development governance, security and privacy requirements relative to system access and use risks;
  • experience leading, and participating in, development projects, using formal development methodologies, processes and tool sets;
  • experience in establishing and maintaining the use of modeling and other software development tools.
