Job Summary: 

Drupal CMS Developer – Contract Position

We want you hear from you if you are a developer who can balance your technical and problem solving skills with your keen attention to detail and team player attitude. Your skills include a variety of technical skills including custom module development, PHP, MySQL, CSS, Git and Drush.

Development Skills:
-Installation and configuration of Drupal 6 and 7, including:
-Installation profiles and features
-Multisite platforms
-Very comfortable configuring and working with at least the following modules: views, content types, wysiwyg, context, rules, workflow
-Very good HTML skills
-Comfortable with PHP; able to read code and provide minor adjustments
-Comfortable creating Drupal modules to deliver solutions that are not yet developed in existing modules
-Comfortable modifying themes template.php to customize sites
-Experience applying graphic design mock-ups (e.g. from Photoshop or GIMP) to responsive Drupal themes using CSS
-Experience with Git and Drush
-Ability to generate and maintain clear technical and process documentation that explains what you have implemented

Theming / Usability Skills:
-Familiarity with the syntax of CSS declarations, properties and attributes
-Familiarity with the CSS box model and methods for CSS positioning
-Familiarity with CSS3
-Experience applying graphic design mock-ups (e.g. from Photoshop or GIMP) to Drupal themes using CSS
-Experience working with style tiles and/or component style guides would be an asset
-Knowledge about mobile theme implementations and responsive design
-Proficiency with a CSS Preprocessor such as Sass
-Experience creating interactive user-experiences using JavaScript and jQuery would be an asset
-Experience with cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure compatibility and consistency
-Experience implementing SVG images would be an asset
-Experience with OOCSS would be an asset

General skills:
-Ability to work on a distributed virtual team with minimal direct, face-to-face interaction with co-workers or clients
-Ability to work from home (good internet connection speed, own computer)
-Creativity, resourcefulness, and an entrepreneurial spirit
-Self-motivated and driven to exceed project goals and client expectations
-A critical thinker with strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
-Ability to convey technical information to non-technical clients
-A calm, comfortable demeanour when dealing with clients
