The Natural Resource Sector (NRS) is a key driver of economic activity and employment in the province.  In order to meet the objectives of the BC Jobs Plan and other government priorities the NRS requires the capability to act as an integrated manager of the province’s natural resources and to make timely, durable natural resource decisions that appropriately balance social, economic and environmental objectives. Through a significant investment in Transformation, the NRS will fundamentally transform the way government services are delivered, the way in which natural resources are managed, and the way in which authorization decisions are made. This will be enabled by integrating technology, harmonizing legislation, streamlining business processes, and supporting workforce transformation.
