The Information Technology Department is responsible for developing technology solutions that contribute to the achievement of bcIMC’s mission and long-term objectives.The department manages the corporation’s information technology, providing support to 200+ end-users of business applications and IT infrastructure.
Reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure/Security, this position is a member of the technology team responsible for the operation of bcIMC’s environment of server, storage, virtual, network, and backup technologies. This position works closely with other IT personnel to troubleshoot and support user requirements, and provide technical expertise and resolutions within a complex environment and is part of the team that has responsibility for the day‑to-day operation of bcIMC’s infrastructure and network environment, including data communications, server configuration, administration, performance tuning, capacity planning and performing software upgrades/installation.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science with minimum four years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience with current virtual technologies, concepts and best practices, managing storage platforms, data and infrastructure backup practices and tools, as well as network and connectivity management is required with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills in these areas is required. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle multiple priorities; good written and oral communication, strong technical writing and documentation skills and customer service skills.
