The Job

KANO/APPS is looking for an organized and analytical Project Manager/Associate Producer to join our team in Victoria, BC.

At KANO/APPS, we have several teams working on exciting projects at any given time. Your job will be to help to ensure that these projects run without a hitch. In this role you will be deeply integrated with multiple aspects of production including marketing, analytics, game design, development, content management and community support; and will be the champion for rallying the team to deliver high quality results.

Duties and Challenges

  • Provide hands on project management expertise to ensure that projects are delivered successfully on time and on budget
  • Plan, organize and track work through agile methodologies, from conception to implementation, through daily standups, pm software, and other methods
  • Manage day-to-day project activity and ensure communication lines between teams are open to make sure project deliverables are on schedule and within budget
  • Identify and resolve risks, issues and conflicts within projects
  • Keep stakeholders, team members and management informed through frequent status reports
  • Manage bug fix and maintenance tasks including change requests as required
  • Demonstrate excellent decision-making skills around scope, timelines, and resources
  • Strive to continuously improve systems and procedures and advocate efficiency to the team


  • Bachelor’s degree in math, engineering, economics, business, or other quantitative field
  • 2+ years in a production or project management position
  • 2+ years with free-to-play game development a plus
  • Ability to identify and analyze performance data and metrics
  • Experience managing projects using agile methodologies
  • Experience managing complex, cross-team product development
  • Willingness to provide and accept direction and work in a team environment
  • Drive to take ownership of your work and to produce great results
  • Excellent writing, verbal communication and task management skills
  • A strong passion to build great games and products for customers
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills
