Job Summary: 

We are seeking a Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Technical Assistant for our Sidney, BC location. As part of our total quality program, you will work with our team to ensure that all SEASTAR CHEMICALS Inc.’s and subsidiaries labels, safety documentation and departments meet all quality and regulatory requirements.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Assist with the development of CofA formats, analytical data reporting procedures, specifications and labels for all SEASTAR CHEMICALS Inc.’s and subsidiaries products.
  • Ensure that all SEASTAR CHEMICALS Inc.’s and subsidiaries labels and safety documentation meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with the quality assurance approval of CofAs, product naming protocols and lot number generation.
  • Assist with SEASTAR CHEMICALS Inc.’s technical marketing literature and presentations.
  • Update SEASTAR CHEMICALS Inc.’s and subsidiaries Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Standard Operating Procedures and safety documentation.
  • Assist Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Manager with SEASTAR CHEMICALS Inc.’s technical service.
  • Follow existing guidelines and suggest changes where necessary to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Manager.

You will have a B.Sc. in Chemistry and ideally two year’s experience in the QA/RA field, preferably in a chemical/manufacturing environment. Your advanced computer skills will include MSOffice products (MS Excel & MS Word). Experience with CorelDraw, website design/maintenance and database management, ERP/MRP system is an asset. Being extremely organized and paying attention to detail will be keys to your success.
