We are experiencing terrific growth, and as a result of this and increasing new business demands, we are seeking a .NET Developer to join our technical team for a contract or full time position starting as soon as possible. You will work with a talented team on development projects that contribute to the success of our clients. As a .NET Developer, you must be able to follow our code standards and code in ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript & SQL. 

Job Summary: 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, leverage, and maintain .NET apps and back-end systems
  • Participate in the entire life cycle of website, tool, and back-end development ranging from requirements and prioritization through development, testing, and support
  • Create and maintain well-written technical documentation
  • Optimizing for speed and compatibility; adding features that contribute to the product without sacrificing quality
  • Work within project management schedules to meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with other members of our team to ensure consistency with the overall goals of each project and client expectations
  • Ensure code and features are developed to meet requirements and standards

Skills and Experience

  • Hands on web development experience with C#, ASP.NET, Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with:
    • Web application security
    • Localization 
    • Multi-threaded applications 
    • SQL performance tuning
    • Experience with Continuous Integration and build automation is highly preferred 
  • Process-related:
    • Advanced source control techniques (Git)
    • Unit testing & code review 
    • Automated build management 
    • Documentation 
  • Experience building and deploying enterprise applications is a must.
  • Experience with object orientated programming and full life cycle of software development
  • End-to-end experience in the design and development of commercial SaaS software products.
  • Experience working in the Agile Development methodology as well as more formal SDLC. 
  • Able to clearly define and communicate IT industry standards, processes and best practices.
  • Ability to set up, configure, and maintain own software/hardware environments.
  • Proficient in the English language with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are a must.
  • Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication, problem solving skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to focus under pressure and deal with ambiguity
  • A sense of humour and positive attitude 
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the USA.
