Job Summary: 

We are going through some exciting growth and will be expanding our engineering team.  Currently we are recruiting for an Engineering Project Manager.  This is a full time role in Victoria, British Columbia.  

The key responsibility is to lead the project planning and implementation of Land Mobile Radio hardware and software projects within engineering development to ensure projects are delivered according to strategic and business priorities, in line with specified standards of functionality, quality, cost and timeframes. 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Software or Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in project management of electronics or software product development
  • Project management methodology, resource and schedule management (i.e. Gantt charts, critical path methods, S-Curve, Earned Value)
  • High level planning, conceptual and analytical skills
  • Phased, new product introduction process experience (i.e. Stage Gate or similar)
  • Experience with Agile methodology is desirable
  • Experience in electronics production methods is highly desirable
  • Contract management experience is desirable
  • Financial management knowledge including planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to estimate work, set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines is essential
  • High level  problem identification and resolution, organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
