Job Summary: 

We have an exciting opportunity for someone with exceptional customer service skills in a technical role to join our Service Group as a Customer Support Specialist.  The right candidate is interested in working as an integral part of a high functioning team in a fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting the customer use of our leading edge environmental monitoring systems. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing technical service support as the primary resource for customers requiring assistance, by answering phone or email queries in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Maintain database records for customer information and follow up reporting requirements.
  • Assist with set up of customer computer website portals.
  • Provide hardware and software technical support to customers and employees.
  • Monitor large station networks performance criteria, and provide reports to stakeholders.
  • Develop technical support improvement programs in consultation with internal departments.
  • Be available to travel on fieldwork assignments in North America, if required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum five years experience providing excellent technical customer support, ideally in a technology company.
  • Qualified as an Electronics Technician, or equivalent.
  • Experience with product testing and electronic system integrations.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision-making and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with ERP Systems – ideally with EPICOR enterprise resource planning system.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, database management, web page development.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently with special attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge or training in ISO9001 based quality management systems.
  • Ability to communicate with customers in Spanish, both verbal and written, is an asset.
