Job Summary: 

An experienced Mechanical Engineering Technologist/Technician is needed to join the engineering team. The primary role of this position will be creating detailed fabrication drawings, assembly drawings with bills of material, conceptual and layout drawings, sheet metal developments, and weld callouts following ASME specifications. The work could include brewery layout and utility specifications, including plumbing and electrical schematics.

The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with project managers and shop staff to obtain pertinent project information and translate the information to the drawings. Work may also include: performing design calculations; creating designs, reviewing drawings, assisting the Quality Manager; participating in periodic design reviews; R&D activities; and other duties as required.

Specific Requirements:

  • Strong work experience -1 year minimum - and high proficiency with CAD (AutoCAD, Solidworks), Engineering Document Control, Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in material properties and selection, fabrication and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with formal documentation management and proven time management skills.
  • Create documentation, including modeling, drafting, the creation of BOMs, and working/fabrication drawings.  
  • Excellent communications skills, with strong written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks; maintain work flow; and meet deadlines and goals.
  • Focus on quality in all areas of work; detail-oriented, as well as good analytical skills are essential.
