Job Summary: 

Checkfront is seeking an experienced sales leader to continue the rapid growth of our SaaS offering, which has grown revenues >100% year-over-year since launching in 2010. Our ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial-minded individual who has been responsible for building successful enterprise SaaS sales teams.

The successful individual must have proven experience scaling sales in a high growth SaaS/cloud environment that requires a consultative sales approach. Experience with e-commerce, tourism and hospitality is considered a major asset.

We have an amazing and diverse base of customers in over eighty countries. With Checkfront you can book a wine tour in Napa, hire a Range Rover in the UK, reserve a pirate ship in Baltimore, stay in a luxury Cabin in Tofino and go whale watching in Victoria (to name a few). Our customers use our application every day to manage and grow their business online.

We’re a small team working towards a common goal: building an awesome online booking application so our customers can focus on operating their business, and less time administering it.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for growing Checkfront sales with both existing customers and new customers
  • Candidate must be willing to sell, be hands-on and involved in the sales process.
  • Create and execute sales strategies and plans to rapidly grow sales while ensuring alignment with the overall go-to-market strategy.
  • Build, support, mentor and motivate the sales team, including implementation of best practices and appropriate sales methodologies.
  • Be a senior external face of Checkfront in high-level customer and prospect engagements.
  • 5+ years as VP/Director of Sales or relative lead sales position, in a small to mid-size software company showing proven growth of >2.5 X revenues.
  • Must show passion and proven expertise around selling complex deals, ideally in more than one country.
  • Must be a hands-on, team player with the ability to manage small teams.
  • Start-up experience with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Proven ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities through a consultative sales approach.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS/cloud-software.
  • Exceptional presentation abilities.
