Our organization is developing a comprehensive investment risk management team to support
Investment decisions. If you have in-depth experience in financial risk management, we want you on the team. As we expand, we will have positions at both senior and junior levels, with requirement for specialized investment risk management knowledge.
As part of the Investment Risk, Strategy & Research (IRSR) department, the newly formed Investment Risk Management team is responsible for implementing forward looking risk methodologies that help bcIMC meet its long term investment objectives.
Reporting to the Manager, Risk Measurement, this role acts as the primary relationship manager between the Investment Risk Management, Enterprise Data Management and IT teams and is responsible for assessing risk tools, data needs and defining our risk tools and data strategy. The Analyst is essential to the success of the Investment Management team as accurate data and reliable tools are crucial to quality risk decisions.
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant degree such as Computer Science, Statistics and Mathematics, complemented by 3-5 years experience in risk management or the investment industry. Experience in the data management area is preferred; FRM or CFA designations would be an asset. You possess an understanding of analytical tools and their data needs as well as basic risk management methodologies.
