Job Summary:

Do you want a chance to start building out your own technology? Are you an enthusiastic generalist who loves all things web rather than being an expert in one or two technologies?

Like most start-ups, we have BIG dreams and goals.  We have things to build that are game changing for connecting people to photographic memories from their travels around the world. While we have done an exceptional job of gluing 3rd party pieces together to make it all work, we need a Full Stack developer who can work with the systems we have in place, make a plan to move us from 3rd party tooling and create the roadmap, architecture and systems needed to build out our vision of being the Airbnb of travel photography

About you:

  • You have a passion for web-technology.
  • You excel at interpersonal, communications and organizational skills.
  • You are a self-learner, possessing inherent inquisitiveness.
  • You have strong writing and speaking skills.
  • You love to travel or the idea of seeing the world from a new perspective.

On the technical side you:

  • Provide technical advice and recommendations for language and software choices.
  • Easily collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure all requirements are met.
  • Are comfortable collaborating with designers, front-end developers and other team members.
  • Evaluate technologies and manage technical planning.
  • Are able to provide support and ongoing development for existing projects.
  • Fix bugs and resolve ongoing issues.
  • Have the ability to rapidly prototype interactive front-end user experiences.
  • Experience developing and deploying web sites and applications.
  • Experience setting up and managing cloud based servers or services.
  • Even have some experience with DevOps practices and platforms.
  • Experience with Web services/APIs and e-commerce integration.
  • Create object-oriented design and development strategies.
  • Are able to consistently provide clean code and proper documentation for each project.
  • Develop code that is cross-browser and cross-platform friendly.

Frameworks and languages you have an understanding and some experience with:

  • Bootstrap, Font Awesome and jQuery
  • MVC style architecture and frameworks
  • At least one of these web frameworks (WebApp2, Flask, Django or Tornado)
  • Hand-coding HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL
  • Python: (Django, Boto, MySQLdb, PIL, bcrypt)

  • You have Web based application development experience in startup
  • You love photography and travel.

Here’s thing, you don’t have to know how to do it all right this second. You do have to be hungry to learn, be able to communicate your vision and help us develop ours.   Start by problem solving our current system’s limitations and scale us for unprecedented growth with your creation of proprietary software that will change the way we do business and give our customers the BEST experiences.

How To Apply:
