eBuyNow is a Platform as a Service company. Our product is a turnkey solution that allows big brands to sell, ship, and support their products at a global level. As a designer at eBuyNow, you will be helping refine this platform—creating the systems that take our clients from foundation to launch, and crafting the user interfaces for all of the steps along the way. You will work with a wide array of talent, including engineers, project managers, and leadership, in an ever-evolving environment that welcomes a creative approach.
●One part UI designer: this means you can see design problems out in the wild, and really think the world will be a better place once you fix them.
●One part front-end designer: this means when you’re creating something in Sketch or Photoshop, you’re aware of the opportunities and pitfalls faced when your design is being turned into actual code. Yes, a working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS are required. It’s 2015!
●One part layout designer: this means you scour the inspiration sites daily in an effort to understand how great companies—large and small—are marketing their products.
●Familiar with designing for multiple device types and contexts (web, tablets, phones, watches)
●Able to prioritize things across a few different projects.
●Happy to pitch in and help the team get things done wherever help is needed.
●Something resembling a process that you can bring to the table.
●Pride in your work.
●An understanding of how a brand works, and how you might evolve a brand.
●Excellent technical knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, InVision, HTML, CSS, and JS.
●Great layout skills.
●Strong communication skills.
●The desire to be a part of a team.
●Take our clients from foundation to launch by designing interfaces and interactions for their online stores and help centres.
●Assist new product brainstorming.
●Prepare designs and marketing communications for presentation to clients.
